What is the appeal of the original EDP?

YSL describes MYSLF Eau de Parfum as a woody floral, with bergamot, orange blossom and a woody base. The floral center is the reason to consider it. Buying it while hoping to avoid any floral impression would be a mismatch between the brief and the documented fragrance.

For someone assembling a small rotation, the relevant test is whether this particular floral/wood combination becomes a frequent choice. Try it beside the everyday fragrance you already own. If you cannot identify when you would prefer MYSLF, another broadly wearable bottle may add less value than the advertising suggests.

YSL’s US listing showed $170 for the original 100 ml EDP bottle when checked on 12 September 2026. This is a dated manufacturer retail benchmark, not an Amazon offer; tax, shipping and promotions are excluded. It equals $1.70/ml.

YSL also lists a 150 ml EDP refill, separately from the 150 ml spray bottle. We did not verify a dependable current refill price, so the worksheet below uses a break-even threshold rather than inventing a deal.
