Short answer: Lattafa Asad is the Sauvage Elixir alternative a published roundup puts first, a dense woody-amber scent that gets sweeter and heavier. Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir opens sharper and less heavy, and Lattafa Fakhar Black sits closer to Sauvage Eau de Parfum than to Elixir. None is the original, and none can be called identical.
This page is desk research. It draws on Amazon listings checked on October 20, 2026 and a published roundup. We have not smelled, worn or blind-compared any of these. The roundup comes from Scento, which sells perfume and decants, so its ranking is opinion with a commercial interest. It lists Elixir with licorice, nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon, lavender and rich woods, and a dry-down of sandalwood, Haitian vetiver and licorice, and gives no note list for most of its alternatives, so we cannot show shared notes for them.
Quick comparison
| Alternative | What the source says | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Lattafa Asad, 3.4 oz | A woody amber scent; starts dense, dark and woody, then sweeter and heavier; Elixir has more bite and a cleaner edge | The roundup gives no note list for it |
| Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir, 3.6 oz | Opens citrus-forward, sharper and less heavy, then moves into a darker spicy-woody base | The opening differs most from Elixir |
| Lattafa Fakhar Black gift set | A warm, amber-heavy opening; softer, less vetiver-led dry-down; closer to Sauvage Eau de Parfum than to Elixir | The Amazon link is a gift set with a travel spray and shower gel |
The alternatives
Lattafa Asad: the roundup’s first pick
Scento describes Asad as a woody amber scent that starts dense, dark and woody, then gets sweeter and heavier, with Elixir showing more bite and a cleaner edge. The Amazon listing is the 3.4 oz unisex Eau de Parfum from a third-party seller. Lattafa does not describe it as a Dior alternative.
- Choose it if you want the roundup’s top named option and like a dark, heavy amber-wood profile.
- Skip it if the clean edge and the licorice-and-cardamom bite are what you want from Elixir.
Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir: sharper start
Scento says it opens citrus-forward, sharper and less heavy than Elixir, then moves into a darker spicy-woody base. The listing is the 3.6 oz Eau de Parfum for men, sold by third parties. Armaf does not describe it as a Dior alternative, and the roundup gives no note list for it.
- Choose it if you prefer a brighter start that darkens.
- Skip it if you want the dense, dark opening of Elixir from the first spray.
Lattafa Fakhar Black: closer to Sauvage Eau de Parfum
Scento says Fakhar Black opens warm and amber-heavy, with a softer dry-down that is less vetiver-led than Elixir, and that it is closer to Sauvage Eau de Parfum. It cites a Fragrantica product page for the profile. Amazon lists it as a gift set with a 100 ml Eau de Parfum, a 12 ml travel spray and a 100 ml shower gel from a third-party seller; we did not find a Lattafa-branded standalone bottle listing we could verify.
- Choose it if you like the Sauvage Eau de Parfum direction more than Elixir’s dark spice.
- Skip it if you want a close Elixir match; the source says this one points elsewhere.
Names you may see but did not link
Scento also names Maison Alhambra Salvo Elixir, which it says starts softer and gets closer in the heart and dry-down, and Maison Alhambra Amber & Leather Elixir, which it calls leather-led, darker and rougher. Amazon showed the Salvo Elixir listing as out of stock when we checked. The roundup also lists Zara Night Pour Homme V, Ajmal Kuro, Afnan Modest Une and Pendora Scents Saviour Elixir; it calls the first lighter and the next two closer to the fresher Sauvage style.
The original, if you would rather start there
Amazon lists Dior Sauvage Elixir in 60 ml from Woot, with limited stock when we checked, and in 3.4 oz from a third-party seller, also limited. Match the Elixir, not the Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, Parfum or Extrait. Our Sauvage Extrait review and Sauvage EDT and EDP guide cover the other versions.
Before you buy any of them
- Sample the original first. If you do not enjoy Sauvage Elixir itself, a cheaper interpretation will not fix that.
- Name what you like. If it is the licorice and cardamom bite, check that the alternative has spice; if it is the woody dry-down, the amber-wood options are closer.
- Judge each alternative on its own. Buy it because you like wearing it, not because a roundup used the word “dupe.”
- Compare the seller and the return terms. Opened fragrance is often final sale.

FAQ
Is any of these the same as Dior Sauvage Elixir?
No. Each is a separate formula from a different maker, and none of the makers describes its perfume as a copy. The comparisons come from a retailer roundup, so treat them as opinion.
Which alternative does the roundup put first?
Lattafa Asad. Scento describes it as a woody amber scent that starts dense, dark and woody, then turns sweeter and heavier, while Elixir has more bite and a cleaner edge. The ranking is the roundup author’s judgment, not a test.
Is Lattafa Fakhar Black a good Sauvage Elixir match?
Scento says it is closer to Sauvage Eau de Parfum than to Elixir, with a warm, amber-heavy opening and a softer, less vetiver-led dry-down. It cites a Fragrantica page for the profile.
Which Sauvage am I comparing with?
This page compares with Elixir. Dior also sells Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, Parfum and Extrait versions, and they are different fragrances. See our Sauvage Extrait review and our Sauvage EDT and EDP guide for the others.
